  • Motorsports Safety Foundation Level 2 Certification Training From Chin Track Days

Chin Track Days was recently certified as a Level 2 training provider by the Motorsports Safety Foundation. More information about the program can be found here. The goal of the program is to improve the standards of instructor training programs. Chin Track Days is fully on board with that goal.

If you are interested in Level 2 Certification, your first step is to take the online Level 1 course here. Be aware that there is a 1-3 day lead from the time you sign up and pay until you will get your link to take the course. Best practice is to sign up now so it's available when you have a few hours to spend taking the course. Once you get your certificate, email a copy to I'll update your profile in our database.

New instructors will need to take Chin's Level 2 training course at the track. Here you will get classroom time as well as on track role playing session with veteran instructors. Email your interest in taking this on track course to I'll let you know as soon as we have an opening or training event scheduled.

Existing Chin Instructors may be eligible for "grandfathering" to Level 2. You will still need to take the Level 1 online course but I'm confident you'll find it worthwhile. Consider it "continuing education". Ross Bentley did a fine job with the course. To be considered for "grandfathering" you will need to have been an instructor in good standing with Chin Track Days for 24 months having instructed at least 10 events during that time. Please email a copy of your certificate to jim@chintrackdays and I will submit your information to MSF if you meet the qualifications for Level 2.

This is an exciting time to become an instructor.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
